Essential Coaching Requirements
Background Check and Coaches Card Application: As part of our commitment to safety, all JAA coaches and volunteers must complete a national background check, including fingerprinting, through Chesterfield County. This ensures a secure environment for our athletes. Start the process and schedule your appointment at Chesterfield County Coaches Card Application. For questions or status updates, contact Chesterfield Police at 804-717-6325.
CDC Heads Up Concussion Training: Player safety is paramount at JAA. All coaches are required to complete the CDC’s HEADS UP to Youth Sports Coaches Online Concussion Training, a free course that equips you with the knowledge to recognize, respond to, and prevent concussions. Access it at CDC Heads Up Concussion Training and print your certificate upon completion to confirm your readiness for the season.
